The Fiddlesticks Concert Experience

Fiddlesticks play fiddle, sometimes together, sometimes separate, mostly acoustic, sometimes electric, mostly with voice, sometimes with feet but always with energy, emotion and fire.

Fiddlesticks the duo are on the road again.

For five years Fiddlesticks have been exclusively contracted to the QLD Arts Council, as well as touring and performing throughout Australia and New Zealand as a Family band. Now Fiddlesticks bring to you :-

"The Curse of the Breton Fiddle"
opening scene
Scene 3:
The Cursed fiddle travels to Quebec

(1st half) "The Curse of the Breton Fiddle"

This is a dramatic multimedia presentation with projected images and live music making use of effects and looping technology.
History explored through music. Fiddlesticks, Karen and Jacko link music compositions and the dramatic story of Karen's Breton Fiddle with modern history.
Relive the historical journey of a 216-year-old cursed French Violin as it claims the lives of its owners, performer by performer, era by era.
The French Revolution, the struggle of secessionists and abolitionists in North America, the Gold Rushes in Gympie and trench warfare in World War I all has their own musical signature.

(2nd half) The story behind a tune.

Often the forgotten inspiration is brought to life through an exciting display of Celtic and American Fiddle styles, performed through songs and stories, energy, emotion and fire as each fiddler attempts to outdo the other.

What has been said about "The Curse of The Breton Fiddle":
