The Fiddlesticks Festival experience

Fiddlesticks have performed at many Festivals throughout NZ and Australia (including Woodford and Illawarra in 2011).

Fiddlesticks are offering to Festivals

1) Fiddlesticks Performance

The story behind a tune", often the forgotten inspiration is brought to life through an exciting display of Celtic and American Fiddle styles, performed through songs and stories, energy, emotion and fire as each fiddler attempts to outdo the other.

2) “The Curse of the Breton Fiddle”

The show lasts 40mins, needs half hour to set up.

This is a dramatic multimedia presentation with projected images and live music making use of effects and looping technology.

This is Dramatic Historic Story told through Fiddle Music, Song and Drama.
Fiddlesticks  link music to the dramatic story of Karen’s 1793 Breton Fiddle with modern history.
The historical journey of this 216-year-old cursed French Violin claims the lives of its owners, performer by performer, era by era.

Made during the French Revolution, the violin escapes to Quebec and then to Louisiana, the struggle of secessionists and abolitionists in North America, the Gold Rushes in Gympie and trench warfare in World War I all have their own musical signature.

We can provide the scene, projector and DVD player if required, the show is interactive with the DVD.

Sing, Slap, Clap and Shake a Song into Shape with a hands-on workshop using the voice, body rhythm, technology, and percussion instruments. The children’s own hands and feet make the music as they create the Body Rhythm, use their Voice, are taught the Percussion and Master the Technology as they are guided through the live recording gradually building their own music, layer upon layer as the children participate in this new exciting world of music making.
